At the height of the 2020 pandemic, when the world stood still and borders closed, the foundation of JJ Enterprise quietly took root. As university students navigating lockdowns and grounded flights, we saw not just limitation — but opportunity.
With global travel at a halt, the appetite for meaningful, hard-to-access items only grew. We turned our attention to emerging trends, focusing on high-demand goods within the hobby and collector space. Our first markets — Singapore and Indonesia — responded with enthusiasm, and word quickly spread.
What began as a simple sourcing initiative has since evolved into a refined, globally trusted business. Today, JJ Enterprise curates and delivers Japan’s most coveted goods to discerning clients worldwide — blending insight, access, and a deep appreciation for the extraordinary.

2020 - When Luck Met Timing
As the world stood still in lockdown, a quiet phenomenon was taking the internet by storm — the global resurgence of Pokémon Trading Cards. Content creators, collectors, and enthusiasts reignited a cultural obsession, sparking an unprecedented demand for rarity and nostalgia.
Amid this global wave, we found ourselves in a uniquely fortunate position — living in Japan, the birthplace of Pokémon. Recognizing both the timing and our proximity to the source, we immersed ourselves in the market, studying trends, rarity, and demand with precision and purpose.
It was in that moment that our journey began — not simply as sellers, but as curators of culture, rarity, and connection.


2021 - From Collectibles to Craftmanship
By 2021, as the global wave of Pokémon card collecting began to soften, we found ourselves drawn to a new realm of rarity — Japanese whisky. Though unseasoned in the spirits industry at the time, we approached with curiosity, reverence, and intention.
We began where any discerning enthusiast would — with the iconic Suntory Hibiki 21, a symbol of balance, heritage, and prestige. This became our foundation. Soon, clients began requesting other legendary names: Yamazaki, Hakushu, and beyond.
And so, our path became clear. Where better to source Japan’s most sought-after whisky than from within Japan itself? What started as an exploration became a curated journey into the world of fine spirits — one bottle, one story at a time.
2022 - Growth Guided by Demand
In 2022, we had no immediate plans to broaden our offering. But this time, our growth was not guided by trends — but by the needs of our discerning clientele.
Requests for premium golf equipment began to surface, with a particular interest in Honma, one of Japan’s most revered names in the sport. Though unfamiliar with the industry at the time, we approached it as we always have — with intention and respect.
We immersed ourselves in the space, engaging with golf shop owners across Osaka, studying market values, and learning the nuances that distinguish truly exceptional gear.
By the end of the year, luxury golf accessories became part of our curated collection — not as a trend, but as a natural extension of our promise: to source what others seek, but few can find.


2023 - The Beauty We Never Expected
By 2023, our reputation had quietly grown — not through marketing, but through trust. Word of mouth became our most powerful catalyst, connecting us with a new wave of discerning clients across borders.
Among the requests came something unexpected: Japanese luxury cosmetics. A category we hadn’t anticipated — one in which we held neither expertise nor prior interest. But as always, we approached with curiosity and care.
We began researching Japan’s most prestigious beauty houses, exploring the meticulous craftsmanship behind brands like Shiseido, Clé de Peau Beauté, and SK-II. Conversations with boutique owners, product specialists, and beauty insiders followed — and slowly, orders began to flow.
This was a wave we hadn’t planned for, yet welcomed fully. What began as a single client’s request soon evolved into a full-fledged extension of our offering. We were no longer just sourcing collectibles or spirits — we were now curating Japan’s most revered beauty rituals for a growing, global clientele.
2024 - A Ritual Turned Opportunity
Long before the global matcha renaissance, our mornings began with a quiet ritual — whisking a bowl of Marukyu Koyamaen’s “YUGEN”, a refined, everyday matcha we cherished as part of our daily routine. At the time, this was simply a personal indulgence — one we could easily access online without concern for scarcity or soaring prices.
But in 2024, everything changed. The world awakened to the allure of Japanese matcha — not just as a beverage, but as a symbol of wellness, purity, and cultural elegance. Demand surged, shelves emptied, prices climbed, and purchase limits were imposed. Suddenly, even our morning ritual became a rare luxury.
This time, however, we were prepared. With deep familiarity, local insight, and established supplier relationships, we mobilized quickly — sourcing directly, forging connections, and meeting the market from every angle. What began as a personal passion evolved into one of our most in-demand offerings.
The trend has carried into 2025, and refined matcha remains a cornerstone of our curated collection — not simply as a trend, but as a celebration of Japan’s timeless craftsmanship and quiet luxury.
